Bonnie Draper Barnes Peffer, 85, of Roanoke Rapids, passed away on Friday, April 28, 2017.
She was the daughter of the late Claude Perry and Penny Reese Draper. Bonnie was also preceded in death by her husband, Leon Long Peffer; her two sisters Hazel Draper Lane and Jane Draper Powell; her brother, Perry Draper; and her two step-children, Leon Long Peffer, II and Linda Peffer Owens.
She a member of Charity Baptist Church in Hopewell, VA and was retired from Safeway.
Bonnie is survived by her three children, Calvin Draper Barnes and wife Linda of Hopewell, VA, Penny Barnes Sledge and husband Jerry of Smithfield, NC, Terry L. Peffer and wife Susan of Henderson, NC; her three step-children Debbie Braswell of Littleton, NC Darlene Taylor and husband, Bobby of Kinston, NC and David Peffer of Roanoke Rapids, NC, her eighteen grandchildren and her forty-seven great-grandchildren and her twenty-one great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside Services will be held on Monday, May 1, 2017 at Bermuda Memorial Park at 11:00 A.M. in Chester VA.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 30, 2017 from 3:00 until 4:30 P.M. at Massey Funeral Home in Roanoke Rapids, NC.
