Mrs. Alice Byrum Jones, age 76 passed away Friday, February 28, 2014 at her home.
Mrs. Jones was born October 17, 1937 in Bertie County, NC, the daughter of the late James B. Byrum and Emma Connor Byrum. She was also predeceased by a son, William C. Jones and a brother William D. Byrum.
She is survived by her husband Wilmer C. Jones, her children, Cathy J. Clinton of Ahoskie, NC, Jerry W. Jones and his wife Linda and Mike A. Jones and his wife Anita, all of Murfreesboro, NC. Her sister, Mary B. Jones of Ahoskie, NC. Her grandchildren, Hannah Langford, Michael Jones, James Jones, Jennifer Anders and Doug Clinton. Six great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Highland Memorial Gardens in Ahoskie, NC.
The family will receive friends at Massey Funeral Home in Aulander, NC, Tuesday, March 4, 2014 from 7:00 until 8:30 PM.
